How it was started?
We decided to hold FOCUS at 20 Scott Grove in year 2005.
Ming, Chung, Siaw Eng, Vince, Natalie & Warwick, these were the initial housemates in this household.
Ming, Chung, Siaw Eng and Vince bought together the 6 bedroom double storey house located at 20 Scott Grove. Natalie and Warwick thought it would be fun to moved in together with us, and rather than paying rent to other people, they wanted to help financing the mortgage with us so that FOCUS could be held here at Scott Grove.
Therefore, three households moved in together on 10 Feb 2006. Whilst people thought it was too crazy and unbelievable, we moved in all together with the Lord Christ in our mind and heart.
For the success of buying the house, we should not forget the effort of Andy, our assistant pastor of Bundy Church, our dear friend. While Ray White was trying to manipulate the selling price for the seller, Andy were with us all the time. We discussed and prayed so that the price would be effordable for four of us as Chung and Siaw Eng were not working at that time.
It was such a beautiful thing to start the fellowship at Scott Grove, and hope that we could share the love of Christ with the non-believers and that the fellowship in Christ will be spread all over the world.
